PRESENTATION
The concept of the imaginary was initially developed within the disciplines of social sciences and psychology. The theoretical framework concerning the imaginaries of TTT (translation, tradition, transmission) constitutes an elaboration upon pre-existing discourses surrounding the ‘linguistic imaginary.’ Consequently, this notion proves instrumental in elucidating and analyzing the subjective dimensions inherent in TTT processes, such as the individual imaginaries of translators, communicators, and cultural actors. Furthermore, it facilitates a comprehensive exploration of the diverse conceptualizations and representations of TTT, including the imaginaries associated with the act of translating or the traditional myths in national literatures, that influence the dissemination of any ‘cultural object’.
